My name is Alyssa Renee Hardy. I'm currently based in Nashua, NH, but I lived in New York City for four years where I studied Fashion and Art History at the Fashion Institute of Technology. I also studied art history and archaeology for four months in Rome, Italy. My favorite thing to do is meet new people and hear their stories, hopefully getting the chance to capture them with photography or writing (or both!).
I first picked up a camera when I was twelve years old. Since then, I've pretty much always had a camera in my hand. I didn't start professional photography until I was in my freshman year of college, when I started taking classes and doing photojournalism for Highlark Magazine. I like to make people feel comfortable in their own skin— I truly believe I can make anyone look good in photos.
I am passionate about bringing attention to things that not a lot of people are talking about. In other words, I bring in a fresh perspective. I began freelancing to pursue my passion for culture and social justice. Other than writing, I am focusing on photography and working on a project to curate an online museum.
